Notă biografică
Catriona Neil is a professional ecologist who has lived all her life in Cornwall. Her great love is the coast in all its guises, the natural environment, industrial heritage and unique landscapes. Working on large construction projects in Cornwall has given her a unique insight into its economic activity and where it future lies. Adrian Spalding runs an environmental consultancy company with Catriona in Cornwall, where he has lived for over 40 years. He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. He has written several books on wildlife and won the Holyer-an-Gof prize for his book on Loe Bar. He has a special interest in the abandoned mining landscapes. He used to host a weekly wildlife programme on Radio Cornwall. His latest book is Understanding wildlife in the modern world ¿ why nature conservation isn¿t working.
