Taína Caragol is curator of painting and sculpture and Latino art and history at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. She is the coauthor of The Obama Portraits (Princeton). Kate Clarke Lemay is a historian at the National Portrait Gallery. Her books include Votes for Women: A Portrait of Persistence (Princeton). Carolina Maestre is the Latino curatorial assistant at the National Portrait Gallery.
