The 2013 Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care, is designed for ambulatory care organizations seeking AAAHC accreditation only. This Accreditation Handbook is not intended for organizations that are currently Medicare certified through AAAHC, or those that are seeking a combined AAAHC accreditation and Medicare Deemed Status Survey. The 2013 Handbook continues the user-friendly format that allows organizations to complete a self- rating of compliance with the Standards. The book also includes resources including a comprehensive Glossary of Terms, interactive self-assessment Forms and Worksheets similar to those used by surveyors during a survey, a step-by-step guide to Analyzing and Creating Meaningful QI Studies, and more tools to aid in achieving and maintaining accreditation.
