What can feel like forever is really only a moment in God's eye. Disappointment teaches us to be in the moment and to experience the moment for what it is, nothing more or nothing less. Disappointment---we've all been there, done that. Sometimes it seems that some of us are always disappointed. Nothing seems to hold any value or worth, including ourselves. But if we are believers and we believe we are a part of God's kingdom, then disappointment is never long lasting. When something ends or when someone betrays us, these are disappointments, and they aren't meant for us to hold on to for dear life. They aren't supposed to be lifesavers, they are experiences that teach us how to let go and move on. It is true, nothing lasts forever, other than a memory---the good ones and bad ones. How we choose to move on from it is up to us, but through prayer, we can make the shift from the past to the present to the future.
