38 Days Hiking Southern Utah by Joe Berardi The author spent 38 days in 2014 exploring Southern Utah seeking out the best slot canyon adventures and Anasazi canyon hikes Utah has to offer. The Escalante area is well known for Peek-A-Boo and Spooky slot canyon hikes from the hiking challenge of Peek-A-Boo to the spectacular colors of Spooky. The Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument has two major drainages the Escalante and Paria Rivers that run for many miles with numerous tributaries that have carved a world of slot canyons. This book chronicles the author adventures in a journal style of his daily activities and how he went about finding these wonders of nature. The author made seven separate road trips during 2014 camping and hiking the Cedar Mesa, Comb Ridge, Escalante, Paria and upper Lake Powell area. Joe Berardi has written numerous hiking, photography and atlas books regarding southern Utah and northern Arizona.
