Meditation allows us to explore on our own. That is where true experience and growth lies. This is why the teachers emphasize meditating alone, without the group setting or guides. It is far better to turn away from dead scriptures and tap directly into our energy. We need to open ourselves to what is unique about our contemporary times, throw off the shackles of outmoded forms and instead adapt to our current spiritual needs.
