When children are given opportunities to express their worries and fears, they are becoming more secure and confident individuals. As a grandmother, teacher, and family therapist, I sometimes present examples of positive coping strategies to foster children's beliefs in their abilities to explore and develop their own unique ideas for minimizing worries and fears.
