This book begins with the historic struggle that Dockworkers were faced with in 1889 and it charters a course right through to the present day. What it shows is that the employers treated Dockworkers like dirt. Working conditions and pay were terrible and it took over a century of struggles to achieve a decent wage and better working conditions.
