Notă biografică
Evelyn was born in the British Embassy in Moscow, Russia. She grew up in German-occupied Norway during WWII, then lived as the Norwegian Ambassador's daughter in London for 12 years. Because of her diplomatic life, she had the good fortune to attend a variety of historical events, including Queen Elizabeth's wedding reception in 1947, which opened many doors to becoming close friends with many royal and political families. She has traveled the world and lived in many countries including France, Portugal and several decades in her beloved Italy. In fact, she met her husband living in Rome. After raising their two daughters in Tuscany for 12 years, they moved to the US, first living in Cincinnati, Ohio and finally settling in Palm Beach, Florida. As a widow and US citizen, thanks to the warm climate, proximity to her beloved Atlantic Ocean and close friends, not to mention her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she continues to live in the Palm Beaches. Evelyn is an accomplished painter, sketch artist, fashion designer and author. She has also worked extensively for various charities, including the Red Cross, UNICEF, The United Way, Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti and The Hospice Foundation of Palm Beach. She has also been on the board of several arts and education organizations, like the acclaimed School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati. Environmentally conscious, after more than four decades of participation in the Garden Club of America, she recently received an honorary membership to the Garden Club of Palm Beach.
