Health is the most important socio-economic aspect of every individual life. Its importance is evident in old saying "Health is Wealth". Health is not only basic to lead a happy life for an individual, but also necessary for all productive activities in the society. The study has focused on Healthcare Services by three Hospitals namely KR, JSS and Apollo BGS Hospitals. The study has clearly highlighted on the admission of inpatients in various department of the Hospitals along with gender wise disparity of patients admitted, geographical distribution of patients admitted and the detail account on monthly patients admitted in year 2009. The Private and Public Sector plays a very important role in provision of Healthcare Services leading to well-being of society. However, most of the Public Healthcare Services like that of the KR and JSS Hospitals were being enjoyed mostly by the poorer section of society whose income level falls under Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Above Poverty Line (APL). Especially in the present context of Globalization, the emphasized has been shift more towards Privatization of Healthcare Sector and collaboration of Private Public Partnership (PPP).
