The book consists of two parts.


Chapter I: Reflections comprises the poems written on the events taken place around the world in the recent past, when the world struggled, first with a pandemic and then the political unrest while coping with the aftermath of pandemic, seeking answers to universal problems of fear, worry, anxiety, uncertainty and unhappiness from the different philosophical thoughts and perceptions. Conversations with the family and friends living in different parts of the world sharing their thoughts, anxieties, worries, experiences and the wonders of nature they appreciated when individual life style was slowed down due to restrictions in movement making people come close to their surroundings and each other, while most of the other entertainment were restricted due to social distancing are presented in poems with the Author's insight..


Chapter II: Tapestry of life consists of poems written on life and experiences, living in a small village in Sri Lanka, the simple and relaxed lifestyle of the people the ancient customs and beliefs, teachings from Buddhist texts and Hindu holy books seeking personal freedom, insight and wisdom, which had an impact on the people and the culture and lifestyle through generations are presented with love and humor.
