T. Muraoka is professor of Hebrew, Israelite antiquities, and Ugaritic at Leiden University, Holland. George Mandel is the David Hyman Fellow in Modern Jewish Studies at the Oxford Centre for Postgraduate Hebrew Studies and a research fellow of Green College, Oxford.
