A Victorian scientist pushes the boundaries of human knowledge in order to save the life of his dying wife. But in doing so he unleashes a hideous plague on an unsuspecting London. As the infection spreads, a small band of friends must escape the city to seek out the man who caused the dead to rise up and attack the living in the hope that he can find a cure.
