Told in alternating voices, A Game of Catch is the story of an unlikely friendship of two boys, one white and one black, bound by their love of baseball. The novel is set in a small Southern town and spans the years 1963 - 1973. As Will and Joe mature, their relationship is tested by the tumultuous national events of the era.
