The Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church was founded in 1840, two years after the first settlement in Milton, and eight years before Wisconsin achieved statehood. The influence of this church and its founders is still felt by the community nearly 170 years later. Local landmarks like the Milton House Museum and the buildings that once housed Milton College are testament to the long, rich history of the SDBs.
