Until 2003, Ulla-Carin Lindquist led a fulfilling life in which she combined her exciting job as a Swedish television anchor and her happy home life with her husband and four children. Suddenly, when she was about to turn 50 that year, she was diagnosed with a terminal disease, and her world fell apart. She had, at most, a year left to live.
