The Israelites have abandoned God yet again, and Canaanite oppression looms on the horizon. The time has come for God to raise up another judge, but this one is not a scholar or a warrior - it is a young Ephraimite girl named Deborah. Young Deborah grows up in a prosperous family with a doting nurse who teaches her the ways of their mysterious God. Suddenly, disaster strikes and Deborah's family and nation are torn apart.
