A Piercing Embrace
Autor Kelli Worrallen Limba Engleză Paperback
Just how great is Jesus' love?
Throughout the Gospel accounts, Jesus often engaged women differently than He did with men. Sometimes the difference is subtle. Sometimes it is stark. Always it is profound.
Women today long to experience the same sort of life-changing love that Jesus lavished on His followers 2000 years ago. They still want to be seen and known and valued and set free.
The Beautiful Pursuit digs deeply into eight encounters that Jesus had with a wide variety of women in the Gospels to show how His love can be just as powerful in our lives today. It mixes attentive Scriptural engagement with contemporary research and personal narrative, making the content accessible, engaging, and practical.
Readers will:
- Understand the unique and powerful ways in which Jesus loves the women of the gospels.
- Recognize their own longings for love and the (often inadequate) ways they seek to satisfy them.
- Discover how to live in the fullness of Jesus Christ s love for them.
Many women approach their faith from a performance perspective it is more about what they do for God, rather than what He has already done for them. The Beautiful Pursuit will help them to focus their eyes on the true object of their faith Jesus Christ, who loves them utterly and completely, passionately and purposefully.
Includes study/reflection questions at the end of each chapter, inviting women to dig into the passages for themselves.
