Alicia's father has remarried, following the death of her beautiful and talented mother. The new bride has pushed her out of her childhood home and her father can no longer bear the sight of her. She has rebuilt her life with the support of her best friend, Jen and is now enjoying teaching art in a sixth form college and flat sharing with Jen and Poppy.
