A Primer from Genesis to Revelation, is a comprehensive bible study and workbook by D. D. Doughty. This all-inclusive book study sparks understanding and encourages deep discussion about the Bible, Christianity and the faith of the Southern Baptist Church. This is an ideal tool for the small group or Sunday school class to examine the history of the church and identify each believer's unique place within it. Pastor Doughty is a Southern Baptist Minister who was called to preach over 50 years ago. His ministry has spanned from Texas, to Florida, to Louisiana and finally Arkansas. Doughty has served on the Louisiana Baptist Convention's Executive Board for four years. He has won the "Outstanding Rural Pastor of the Year" award as well as the "Church Achievement Award." In his early adult years, D.D. Doughty worked in the oil fields of Louisiana, Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico. He was employed by the petro-chemical industry in south Texas when he felt the call from God to become a Baptist pastor. To prepare for this ministry, Doughty returned to Louisiana where he graduated from Louisiana Baptist College and started pastoring small churches. He continued his education by earning a Master's in Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degrees. He also taught school for a short time. After his retirement from pastoring, Doughty continues to pursue his love of teaching, history and writing with the publication of his first novel Wyoming Grass and his continual pastoral work as in A Primer from Genesis to Revelation. Doughty and his wife and helpmate of 58+ years live in Arkansas.
