Notă biografică
Marcha Fox's credentials as a science fiction writer include a bachelor of science degree in physics from Utah State University followed by a 21 year career at NASA where she held a variety of positions including technical writer, engineer and eventually manager. Her NASA experiences included trips to Cape Canaveral in Florida, visiting other NASA centers in Mississippi, Alabama and Maryland as well as trips to the European Space Agency in The Netherlands but the most memorable was the sad task of helping to recover space shuttle debris in East Texas following the tragic Columbia accident in 2003. Her writing combines her knowledge of engineering and physics with modern scientific theories including speculations regarding other dimensions and quantum theory, particularly as it relates to the human mind. These provide a backdrop for the Star Trails series and the exploits of the Brightstar family along with a variety of alien and mechanical personalities, all trying to survive in a hostile world amid scientific and political intrigue. Her approach of including accurate science in additional to speculation allows readers not only to learn such principles painlessly but to not have to "unlearn" incorrect ones later. "Science fiction inspired me to pursue a degree in physics," she states. "I hope to do the same for today's readers."
