A Queer Summer Night in Cowtown

Autor M. Jane Colette, Alyssa Linn Palmer, Beatrice Aucoin
en Limba Engleză Paperback – iul 2019
As gay as a Western rodeo? You bet. A Queer Summer Night in Cowtown riffs off the urban Stampede YYC plays host to every July, and features 10 hot and cold queer shorts for the 10 days of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. This fourth collaborative project by YYC Queer Writers features: On the Floor by Alyssa Linn Palmer, Voyeur by Dirk Van Dyk, On the Range by Dallas Barnes, Coming by PW Zellie, The Steward of the Treaty 7 Sodium Forest by Beatrice Aucoin, Hawk's Eye by Karen O., After Care by T, First Rodeo by Lotis Cervantes, You, and the Herds by Callan Field, and Dhakira by M. Jane Colette. All profits from the anthology's sales go to benefit Alberta's Camp Fyrefly. Camp fYrefly is a summer camp and leadership retreat designed for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, two-spirited, intersexed, queer, and questioning youth, (LGBTQ2S+) and planned in part by a committee of the same youth it seeks to serve. Camp fYrefly is designed to help youth develop the leadership skills and personal resiliency necessary for them to become agents for positive change in their schools, families, and communities. In other words, it helps keep queer kids alive. Although we are fundraising for a youth program, the content of our anthology contains mature themes, explores themes of sex and sexuality, sometimes explicitly, and is intended for an adult audience.

Notă biografică

M. Jane Colette writes tragedy for those who like to laugh, comedy for the melancholy, and erotica for people who like their fantasies real. She believes rules and hearts were made to be broken; ditto the constraints of genres.
