After discharge began a series of employment-Surveyor with PG&E, toiled on the SF waterfront, re-write man on a newspaper, life guard at Squaw Valley in winter, took a year off to surf; Laguna Beach, Dana Point, etc. Later tended bar in Sacramento and then, spent twenty years collecting donations for charitable organizations. Spent the last years working Race and Sports at a casino in Reno.
