Sharon Masters is a young college lecturer newly arrived in Scotland to teach at the University of Edinburgh in the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures. On her first day on campus, she meets Vince Robertson, a senior lecturer who she soon learns has a wicked reputation. She also meets another new lecturer, Kathryn Abrams, who shares with her the rumors of Vince's playboy ways. Intrigued, Sharon studies him during her first staff meeting, hopelessly drawn to his impressive physique, green eyes and intense presence. When he notices her watching him, his gaze penetrates her immediately, making her oddly overheated and surprisingly aroused just from a mere glance.
