My real name is Kim Kattawar Mahfouz. (I am using Kim Katt as my Pen name.) I am a proud wife of a now retired United States Marine. We were stationed on Okinawa for six years and while this book is fiction, most of the places I used for the kids adventure are actual places on Okinawa. In the beginning, I started writing this book for my own children but as the story unfolded and developed, I realized that a book written about military children and the adventures and lifestyles they live everyday, could be informational and entertaining whether it is read by military or civilian children.
