The falling domino effect of climate change picked up pace as the 21st Century progressed. The rise in ocean levels exceeded all prediction and preparation; crisis followed catastrophe. The fanatical and fearful masses have turned their attention away from ideological demagogues, to a terrorist more implacable and powerful than any produced by man - to an environment out of balance, an unpredictable juggernaut of cause and effect. One research hungry scientist with a vision flees devastated China for a new chance in America. In his desperation he agrees to smuggle data for a powerful Western Corporation. To achieve his goal he must contend with pirates off the shores of California, government double-crosses, fanatical Homesteaders, shipwreck and ocean water detox.
