CATHRYN SILL, a graduate of Western Carolina University, has been an elementary school teacher for fifteen years. With her husband John and brother-in-law Ben, she co-authored A FIELD GUIDE TO LITTLE-KNOWN ߢSELDOM-SEEN BIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA, ANOTHER FIELD GUIDE TO LITTLE-KNOWN ߢSELDOM-SEEN BIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA, and BEYOND BIRDWATCHING. She is also the author of the ten titles in the award-winning ABOUT series for children. She and her husband live in Franklin, North Carolina.
