Acknawme The retirement plans of Forensic Director Troy Wagner are placed on hold due to the horrific murder of his secretive love interest Dr. Suzanne Falcon. Because Dr. Falcon's murder has occurred in the jurisdiction of another Sheriff's Office, Wagner uses his status as the Team Leader of the Florida Sheriff's Association State-Wide Forensic Task Force to become involved in the investigation. He quickly enlists the help of his good friend, Cold Case Detective James Logan who works closely with Wagner at the Pinelands County Sheriff's Office. What seems to be a simple, clearly defined homicide investigation with indisputable evidence appears to be quite different to Troy Wagner and James Logan. Together, the two of them take the case in a completely different direction than that of the other investigators. After Wagner re-examines the crime scene several days after the murder, he finds some very unusual clues that lead both he and James Logan into the eerie realm of the Acknawme Preserve. The ancient ground and the thick jungle of vegetation and exotic plants that exist there provide the background for the most mindboggling case that Wagner and Logan have ever been involved with.
