Zoe and Tod, who played and fantasized together as children, plan a vacation in the mountains of Guatemala. In a remote village, they are welcomed and invited to see ancient Mayan rituals. The New Year is to be brought in during a cave ritual, but a problem develops. Time is stopped and the ancient gods demand a sacrifice to renew time.
