Joe Mahoney worked full-time for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for thirty-five years in several roles including recording engineer, producer, and several operational management roles.

He is a member of SF Canada, Canada's National Association of Speculative Fiction Professionals, and SFWA, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.

He lives in Riverview, New Brunswick, with his wife Lynda, their Sheltie, Wendy, and their Siberian Forest Cat Lily.
