This is a story of an old mountain man, his loyal dog Blackie and their mule, Ol' Stubborn. The three have many adventures and encounter numerous dangers along the way. They battle bears, wolves, and mountain lions. Their exploits find them saving a wolf pup that inspires a whole set of new adventures. There is never a dull moment in the life of Mike the mountain man and his dog Blackie.
