African Ming

In the turbulent world of the 15th Century, a young Chinese man is forced to flee his home and country. After a hazardous voyage with the famous Treasure Fleet, he escapes into a newly-discovered continent. Using his innate skills and diplomacy, he finds recognition and love in a totally alien society.

Hundreds of years later, a newly-married couple stumble upon evidence of this man's quest in antiquity. Their discovery lands them in trouble with unscrupulous criminal elements, whose aims are purely mercenary.

Mark Cotterell has travelled extensively in the course of his career, and he and his family have lived in several countries, where they have sought to identify with the local cultures whenever possible. They are fascinated by the languages, history and politics of the places where they have been. Mark's leisure interests include sailing and hiking.
