Katherine's infertility and failed marriage leads her to Mexico in search of a child. She becomes entangled with Carlos, an unscrupulous but inept black-market baby broker, and James and Brent, the gay couple who live next door. When James' seventeen-year-old daughter, who is only a few years younger than her father's lover, arrives for a visit, things get complicated. This is a story which explores triangular relationships, LGBTQ issues and improbable outcomes.
