The seventh in the "Erast Fandorin" series, set during the build-up to the coronation of Tsar Nicholas II. Grand Duke Georgii and his three daughters arrive in Moscow for the coronation, but 4-year old Mikhail is kidnapped. When a ransom note arrives, Fandorin and his sidekick Masa attempt to find the child before it's too late.
