To be HIGHly candid, I'm not convinced if I am even qualified to inscribe a perfect manuscript, I despise reading, it bores me rapidly. I am sluggish to create that imagination to actually take the moment and endeavor reading many pages squatting comfortably on a lazy boy, relaxed with a cigarette, and focus the dream that I am reliving my Freshman year in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. HIGHever as a supplement I can puff down a phatty bone in the parking lot, get stoned and paranoid to witness Lord Voldemort reach out of the screen and suck me down into the gates of Hell, and enjoy every moment of the movie. That's when my 420- twenty vision kicks in and Slytherin transforms into my haunting home town surroundings of Amityville smack in the middle on the County line of Strong Island. My Grandma raised me encouraging the lovely thought "Dave, I know you're going to do something special one day" She was right. I was fixed serving tables at a local dive, and dodging Sally Mae from garnishing my wages to pay off my student loans. Grandma what am I qualified to do to make an impact in this world? One life, I was snubbed in 74, and because of two figure skaters my adopted path through Grammar School, Summer Camp, High School, College bound, discovering LOVE, waking up in the county jail, Rehab, and stuck waiting (literally) towards the next step, led me to "Am I Jesus or am I Just Stoned?" I decorated my Unholy Bible, not just to encourage potheads, but to also relate to the underdog that feels like they're trapped in a society without any loop holes to enlighten their well being. My Stoner Forest Gump tale is not just about succulent herb, it's a journey of change from my early head banging metal days, Deadhead hippie moments, raving all night dancing to the beat, kicking it root down Beastie Boys fashion, shuffling to New Wave, and escalating into overdrive in the pit giving the horns to my favorite Punk Rock heroes. Movie quotes, song lyrics, many mistakes, Saturday morning cartoons, poetry, History, Jay and Silent Bob, and my family and friends have stimulated my writing process.
