Notă biografică

Matthew is the founder and president of Ascension Press and Luminous Media, a co-founder of CatholicExchange.com and Envoy Magazine, and a best-selling author of a variety of works including Did Adam and Eve have Belly Buttons?, the creator of the Friendly Defenders Catholic Flash Cards, co-editor of the Amazing Grace Series, and co-author of A Guide to the Passion: 100 Questions About the Passion of the Christ. He has appeared on numerous television and radio programs explaining and defending the Catholic Faith, and has conducted seminars on a variety of Catholic issues throughout the country. Matt and his wife, Maryanne, live in Pennsylvania, and are the parents of five boys. Jeff Cavins is recognized both nationally and internationally as an exciting public speaker who has a deep love for Jesus Christ and who communicates his zeal with clarity and enthusiasm. After twelve years as a Protestant pastor, Jeff returned to the Catholic Church under the guidance of Bishop Paul Dudley. Over the past several years, Jeff developed the extremely useful and practical interactive Bible study system - The Great Adventure, which enables students to understand the chronological flow of the Scriptures. Jeff used this approach at Franciscan University, Steubenville, Ohio, where he taught Introduction to Scripture and also presents it in seminar form across the country. Jeff received his MA in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville with Catechetical Certification. He received a BA with honors in Humanities from Antioch University, Yellow Springs, Ohio. He received Bible training from Christ for the Nations Institute, Dallas, Texas and the Institute of Ministry, Bradenton, Florida. Jeff graduated from Brown Institute, Minneapolis, Minnesota, a school for radio and television broadcasting. Jeff produced and hosted Life on the Rock, a live talk show for young adults on EWTN for six years. He also substituted for Mother Angelica on her live shows when she was ill or traveling, and he continues to appear on EWTN. He was most recently with Relevant Radio, and hosted a nationally broadcast, live morning drive-time show, Morning Air Monday through Friday. Jeff s story of his return to the Church is now available in his autobiography, My Life on the Rock. He is also co-editor of the Amazing Grace book series, as well as a contributing author for the new books Catholic for a Reason: Scripture and the Mystery of the Family of God and Catholic for a Reason II published by Emmaus. Jeff was presented the 1997 Envoy of the Year award for his work in evangelization. Jeff and his wife Emily reside in Minnesota with their three daughters, Carly, Jacqueline, and Antonia. Patti Armstrong has written more than 400 books published articles for secular and religious publications.
