Many visiting scientists from China and Taiwan lack confidence in their abilities with the English language. This handbook is designed to aid native Chinese-speaking scientists learn English scientific terms. The book has three parts: a cultural guide for working in American laboratories; a list of common terms used in the lab, with translations into both simple and complex Chinese; and illustrations of equipment in common use.
