Joe Sweeney is a modest, ordinary working man. After years of holidaying at home in Ireland, he finally decided to conquer his fear of flying in order that his precious wife can finally fulfil her dream of travelling abroad. However, on his very first trip, Joe meets an old face from his past. Except that this person denies knowing Joe, and claims to be from a different country. At first Joe doubts himself, but gradually begins to feel that something is not quite right. Why would this man pretend not to recognise him? Has he something sinister to hide? Joe refuses to accept that he has made a mistake, despite the pleading from his wife, and the jokes from his closest friend. Joe sets off hell bent on getting to the bottom of the mystery, little knowing that he is about to open a shocking can of worms from his own past. With his family life disintegrating around him, Joe vows to solve the riddle. But not everything is as it seems.
