This Mississippi Rive Plume Hydrography study is part of a larger Louisiana-Texas Physical Oceanography Program, which conducted field observations from 1992-1994. The objective of this component of the program was to characterize the hydrographic and the velocity structure, the pollutant chemistry, and biological properties of the coastal plume arising from the discharge of the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers.
