From pop-culture to politics, from New-Age religions to folk tales, hoaxes, escapism and paranoia, much has contributed to the phenomenon of flying saucers, alien abductions and visitors from other worlds. The book explores diverse themes and events in an attempt to get to the root of such claims. From suicide cults, to fairy-tale myths, Nazi rocket technologies, to modern Egyptian-themed alien temples, it is a trip around many strange corners of culture and society. Kevin Storrar is an artist and researcher based in the UK. He studied Fine Art at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and at Lancaster University. He has worked professionally in the arts for over ten years, including work within the Museum and Gallery sector. He has produced imagery and cover work for a number of books.
