We think everything will go as we have planned. We view each sunrise as a new beginning, a fresh start if you will. And to be honest, that is the way we all should look at each day - a clean slate to begin anew. But on this particular morning, in my mind, I envisioned a perfect trip out of town for a few days, relaxing with some friends, bonding with amazing women at the retreat, and nothing could change this beautifully planned trip. So untrue! This day would unfold into the unthinkable. What was about to happen to me is what every woman can't imagine happening at all to someone they know, let alone happening to them. I truly had no idea that today my life would be change forever. This is my brave story of surviving a violent attack from an ex boyfriend.
