The book is an engaging, accessible entertaining compilation of Anglo-Saxon myths and legends told in a folk storytelling style - a crossover between Tolkien's world of the Lord of the Rings and the historic Anglo-Sxaon mythology that inspired it. There would be c. 50 tales each with an illustration (prob woodcut style) to start each one.
