This small book teaches all you need to know to get started on the road to travelling the UK, saving and Earning £1000's' by becoming a 'Live in Carer'. I list all the paperwork and documents needed to begin the process and take you through the steps to your first client and your first pay-check. Let me start by saying that age is not a barrier, in fact, I have several friends in their mid-70s' doing this work. You will make and save £1000's quickly, travel, learn, meet fascinating people and above all help the most vulnerable of society. You will find it challenging, however, take a deep breath, open your mind, expand your horizons and enjoy an adult 'Gap Year'. Experience another culture, grow, learn, 'Eat, Pray and Love' and so much more. You will grow more than you can imagine, you will become very strong and forever have a means of income no matter what the future holds.This choice is by no means a choice for the faint-hearted. It takes a brave person to take the plunge nevertheless there are countless rewards. The obvious benefit is the earning potential, the average daily rate is about £90.00 per day which produces approximately £2700.00 per month of which most can be saved. The majority of people who can afford 'live in care' are wealthy and therefore live in beautiful homes in idyllic locations. Your ability to earn a substantial income is indeed a powerful reason to do this. It also offers a safe platform to think about future ventures. Perhaps start an online business, study towards a degree, learn a new language, or simply to investigate new opportunities you will have the freedom to do so. There is so much you can and will achieve. Some Carers choose to work for two weeks or a month and go home to family in the UK or somewhere in Europe. Others work for a 3 month period and then return further afield such as to SA or Australia. Flights are cheap to Europe, long haul a bit more expensive, however, if you book well in advance you will find great deals. You will make new and often lifelong friends with other 'Live in Carers' we understand each other so well and Care. The Live in Carer's I have met are hugely diverse and hail from a variety of professional backgrounds but due to age or lack of opportunity can no longer find work in their own country. You are not alone. All of them I admire and have become great friends with many and for this, I am so grateful, they have taught me wisdom and patience.
