Shambhu dasa, a direct disciple of Srila Prabhupada, became inspired by two essential, recurring themes in Srila Prabhupada's books: First, the importance of attaining a human birth and utilizing it properly, and secondly, the immense sukrti or pious credits by taking birth in Bharata-Varsha or India and its subsequent opportunities. Although Srila Prabhupada's causeless mercy from his own spiritual master brought him to the Western shores of a bustling, chaotic New York City in the mid-60s for preaching his spiritual master's message, his satisfied heart still yearned for his true home in Sri Vrindavana Dhama, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. His self-determination in spreading this vital message led him to a successful life, both here and for eternity. Srila Prabhupada took that prabhu-desha -order to heart, travelled to America, and finally, Krishna empowered him to establish the divine, personal connection of bhakti-yoga and spread this panacea all over the world.
