After three years of marriage, it's easy to forget he is a fugitive. Making coffee, doing laundry and walking the dog are distracting enough, notwithstanding regular sex. He's never had love before, in-laws, a family. He likes Christmas presents, birthdays, anniversaries ... cake. He loves having Sophie to share them with. Every year he escapes notice could be their last. He wishes she didn't know it, but to love him she had to. He knows she loves him. Even if she doesn't trust him. Suspects him. Drinks.
