He is working in the field of Aquatic Toxicology, Fish toxicity testing, Environmental Monitoring, Residue Analysis and in-vitro toxicity assessment in fish models. He has also been enthusiastic enough to reach remote villages of far-flung areas of Ladakh to interact with farmers and address their concerns.
Adnan Abubakr is Professor of Limnology & Head in the Division of Aquatic Environmental Management, Faculty of Fisheries, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir, SKUAST-K, India. He specializes in designing artificial wetland systems for treatment of wastewaters. He has been instrumental in Instituting Masters in Fisheries Sciences (M.F.Sc.) and Ph.D. Degree programmes in Aquatic Environment Management (AEM) in the Division of AEM.
Anu Gopinath is Associate Professor and Head, Department of Aquatic Environment management, KUFOS, India. She is a commonwealth fellow and has participated in Indian Arctic Expedition thrice. She has received DST Young Women Scientists fellowship and DST Fast Track Scheme for Young Scientists. She is collaborating with NCPOR -Goa, SAC-ISRO, Ahmedabad and INCOIS Hyderabad in several projects related to the monitoring of coastal oceans.
Shabir Ahmad Dar is Assistant Professor in the Division of Fishery Engineering, Faculty of Fisheries, Sher-e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Kashmir (SKUAST-K), India. He has more than 10 years’ experience in teaching, research and extension in the field of Fishing Technology. He has organized, coordinated and co-ordinated several training programmes in Fisheries for the benefit of fish farmers, rural folks/fishers and entrepreneurs.
Keezia Khurshid is Ph. D. Research Scholar in Division of Aquatic Animal Health Management, Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-K, J&K, India. She has published and presented several research papers and got positions in various national and international conferences. She is working in the field of cell cultures and has established for the first time a primary cell culture of one of the endemic fish species in Kashmir.
