Notă biografică

In 1973 Cameron lived in Greece and studied Greek language and music. Returning to Boulder, Cameron performed Greek music and began the study of Arabic music with local bands: The Silk Route, The Boulder Bouzouki Band, Solspice and Sherefe. The oud became his principal instrument.Cameron has been associated since 1986 with the Middle Eastern Music Camp, which takes place every summer in Mendocino, California. He has studied at the Arabic Music Retreat in Mt. Holyoke, Massachusetts. Between 1995 and 2005, he has made seven trips to Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Morocco, performing and studying in many venues and with many musicians. He sang and played for an audience of 60,000 in the Cairo Stadium as part of a fund-raiser for a Children's Cancer Hosptal. From 2002 through 2005 he performed more than 160 musical presentations in more than half of the American states.
