Around the Clock...Diary of a Street Cop is the story of one man's coming of age, and career in the New York City Police Department. The author escorts you through a journey inside the world of a content young man who came upon this profession quite by chance, and exposes the reader to the daily rigors of the patrol function as it existed in the transitional decades of the 1960's through the end of the 1970's. It underscores how most day to day police activities are not glamorous, nor are they the subject of incidences of super sleuth/who-done-it drama, or nail biting suspense so prevalently portrayed in the movies.
