Harry Pearson loves the places he has travelled to, it's the travelling that he hates.

AROUND THE WORLD BY MOUSE is his answer to that problem. He travels 600 miles a day on an original Star Trek teleporter (aka the Internet), using the local transport available and circumnavigating the globe in less than two months.

Harry sees the world via webcams, soaks up the atmosphere through homepages and message boards, buys souvenirs, sends e -postcards and gets food poisoning from the battered squid balls (even though bloggers warn him they're notorious).

Glorious in its surreally humorous observations, this is the last word in armchair  or desktop  travel writing.
