A best-seller in previous editions, Assessing and Treating Culturally Diverse Clients, 4/e will be expanded to offer effective, practical guidelines in dealing with issues that arise when dealing with culturally diverse clients. Paniagua addresses important questions, including: ·Is it a good idea to conduct your first meeting with an African American client differently than with an Asian American one? ·Should you treat an American Indian client with the same therapeutic approach you would use to treat a Hispanic client? He also provides clinical suggestions for working with African American, Hispanic, American Indian, and Asian clients.
